City Care

City Care believes in the intrinsic value of every person. It is with love and compassion they advocate for the overlooked in Oklahoma City, OK. They provide food for the hungry, relief for the hurting, and shelter for the unhoused through multiple programs and initiatives. They first approached me to design a fundraising event for them. Following the success of that project, they requested that I finish the revised brand another agency had started. City Care had a lot invested in their new logo, and I was thrilled to get to jump in and complete the brand for them. I have developed a wonderful, ongoing relationship with City Care and love to be a part of the humanitarian work they do.

Eventually, City Care requested all separate branches of their company be rebranded to match the company brand. There are four company branches under the City Care umbrella, all with their own mission to factor in.

Sub Brands

Whiz Kids

Whiz Kids offers after school tutoring for children focused on improving literacy through mentorship. The original mark used was a star with a circle above representing a person. While keeping to the star shape, I modified the mark to house a W and K of the program name. Together they form a very simple human shape, a crown and a star, all of which are used throughout the branding in some capacity.

Homeless Services

The mark is representative of the services City Care offers to the homeless community in Oklahoma City. Offering guidance, helping people find solutions and reaching out to those in need is only a small part of what City Care does.

Supportive Housing

The Supportive Housing program provides housing for those without. Providing a roof overhead, giving back responsibility and giving people the tools they need.

Crystal Lake

A free summer day camp for inner city kids to experience nature, canoes, archery and test their skills. The original mark had ‘Crystal Lake’ in the name. Since the events are still often held at Crystal Lake, City Care decided to keep the mark and change the name to Camp Whiz Kids.

Website Design

City Care needed a new website that they could add to, maintain and publish new content. To work within a small budget and give the company the ability to easily make changes I used WIX as a platform. I worked with their team to go through their business requirements to get them a brand new site, branded to City Care and fully customizable.

After managing the site alongside their marketing team for a period of a year, I was able to fully hand off everything to the team.
